Tungsten Grasshopper -
tg2
The second release for
this outfit on fencing flatworm. According to the cover it was recorded
on a fucked laptop. Five pieces in all of glitchy abstract neo-non-acoustics,
as fine of any of the releases on Mego or latterday Touch. Extreme high
end and low end frequencies have been used, together with everything
inbetween. Very much cyclic or loopy but it all works perfectly. It
almost seems like and electronic AMM, although it doesn't have their
directionlessness. Track 3, 'twilight reflection on the winter in my
soul', has a definite spatial feel, this could have been the soundtrack
to 2001: A Space Odyssey. A highly recommended listen.
